So here we are in the hopes of maintaining our regular lively, witty, and often bizarre conversations. More importantly, we're here in the hopes of remaining friends. We've done amazingly well in dealing with each other so far, and I think we would all agree life would be less something without one another. So, here's to us...vive le singe de la pipe! *Monkey dances and plays symbols.*

Home

I have an apartment in Lafayette now. My application went through, and my parents are going to pay 7 months rent up front. I will have to pay a pet deposit for Pismo, but Orpheus can live there for free.

I'm ready to move on. I miss Lafayette already.

Brian booked us a flight to New Orleans. We're looking for hotels now. About four days in New Orleans at the end of the month. Sexy.

I've started talking to students at UL. I sent out an e-mail to the graduate list, and I've gotten quite a few responses. Only one student seemed a little iffy, got an attitude vibe when she asked me why I was moving when I didn't get an assistantship.

This week is going too slowly.

  1. I'm so excited and happy for you! I can't wait to see the new place--send me a link to their website or something.

  2. They don't have a website, actually. The place we chose is down the street from the big, fancy place. We decided to go with more affordable, then when I'm paying rent on my own, if I can afford it, I'll upgrade if I want.
